The group calling feature supports up to four people simultaneously and is available for Android and iOS users. Facebook-owned WhatsApp on Tuesday rolled out its group calling feature for both voice and video options on iOS and Android devices for its 1.5 billion users.
WhatsApp group video can audio calls can be started by starting a one-on-one voice or video call. Users can tap on the new “add participant” icon on the top right corner during a call to add more contacts to the call. Up to four participants can be added in a group voice or video call.
WhatsApp users currently spend over two billion minutes on calls per day.
How to make group video and audio calls on WhatsApp:
Step 1: You will first need to make a one-on-one a video or audio call on WhatsApp.
Step 2 : Then On the top right corner, you will see an icon to add more participants to the call.
Step 3 : Tap on that icon and add a member to the call from your contact list. You can choose one contact at a time from your list.
Step 4 : The video call will break into four mini screens of each member in the call. Similarly, the audio call screen will show all members’ display picture on the screen.
